Chris Witty
Chris Witty of Park City, told Olympics Specialist Shelley Osterloh a couple of weeks ago, that she wasn't too concerned about her slow start on the World Cup circuit this season.

(Dec. 22, 2001)------Chris Witty was timing her performance to peak for the trials and the Olympic Games. And that appears to be exactly what she's doing.
Witty qualified for two Olympic Events on Wednesday, winning the 500 and 1500 meter races at the U.S. speedskating trials.
The 26 year old won two medals at the '98 Olympics--a silver and a bronze.
And she nearly won another in the Summer Games, in cycling.
Witty is one of just a few athletes to compete in the winter and summer games, placing 5th in Sydney.
Shelley Osterloh: YOU HAVE A SILVER AND BRONZE. HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO YOU GET A GOLD?
Chris Witty: WELL, THAT WOULD BE THE ONE LAST THING I'D HAVE TO DO IS GET A GOLD MEDAL. HOPEFULLY IT WILL HAPPEN THIS TIME, BUT ALL YOU CAN DO IS DO YOU BEST AND IF IT HAPPENS IT HAPPENS. AND IF IT DOESN'T, TRY AGAIN NEXT TIME.
Witty says in '98 she felt desperate to win gold. Now she is focusing more on performance, not the outcome.
