Bakken-Rohbock Hope For Gold
Had it not been for U.S. teammate Jean Racine, Jill Bakken would have won the World Cup overall title last season. Olympic Specialist Shelley Osterloh has more.
|

(Nov. 10, 2001)------At just 17, Bakken became the youngest bobsledder in the history of the competition.
Now, at 24, she and partner Shauna Rohbock hope to become the first women to win Olympic Gold.
Bakken: "TO WIN A GOLD MEDAL."
Robock: "DEFINITELY, FOR SURE."
Bakken: "GOLD MEDAL, NOTHING LESS."
Both women are active in the U.S. Army National Guard and part of the Armed Forces World Class Athlete Program.
They say representing their country now is more important than ever, and they dream of winning for the USA.
But first they'll have qualify for the Olympic Team during trials at the Utah Olympic Park in Decemer.
