Utah Jews Exhibit  Sunday, 2/24/2002 @ 10:39 pm
Utah has been a homeland to people of many different faiths and backgrounds. Learn about the Jewish experience in Utah through the photo exhibit “Homeland in the West: Utah Jews Remember” at the Marriott Library on the University of Utah Campus. The exhibit, part of the Cultural Olympiad, tells the story of Utah Jewish life from 1854 to the present. Admission is free.

You can still visit the Olympic Superstore in downtown Salt Lake. The Superstore is open Monday from 10 to 9. Tuesday through Thursday the store will be open daily from 10 to 5.   More >>>

Ancient Greek Olympic Art On Display  Sunday, 2/24/2002 @ 9:26 pm
The ancient Greeks invented the Olympics, and their idea was brought back in 1896 to its modern form. See the way the ancient games were depicted in the “Athletes in Antiquity” exhibit at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. Located on the University of Utah Campus, the exhibit is on loan from the J. Paul Getty Museum. It’s a part of the Olympic Arts Festival, and it’s free. View the spirit of Athens before the Games return to the city in 2004.
International Quilt Displayed at SLC Airport  Sunday, 2/24/2002 @ 9:00 pm
The Salt Lake International Airport is the site of “Quilts Across America” exhibit. Students from 250 schools have participated in making a special quilt showing a world without disease, worry, poverty and fear and tells stories of faith in and optimism for the future. The exhibit is at the Salt Lake International Airport in the Terminal Two Lobby. Admission is free.
