Olympic Flame Update  Saturday, 2/23/2002 @ 12:35 pm
You still have a chance to take a picture of the Olympic Flame at Rice Eccles Stadium, but remember that 500 South is closed to traffic between 1300 East and Wasatch Drive.
Torch Lit at Medals Plaza   Saturday, 2/9/2002 @ 8:55 pm
A torch carrying the Olympic flame has lit the cauldron at the Medals Plaza tonight. The flame burns there and also at the official Olympic cauldron at the Olympic Stadium.
Torch Will Make its Way into Medals Plaza Tonight  Saturday, 2/9/2002 @ 8:08 pm
For the first time in Olympic history, the flame will be split in order to burn at two separate locations. Right now a runner is taking the torch which was lit at the Olympic Stadium, down to the Medals Plaza. It will burn continuously until the closing ceremonies on the 24th.
Olympic Cauldron Lit!  Friday, 2/8/2002 @ 9:33 pm
Now that the Olympic Cauldron has been lit at the Olympic Stadium, crowds will begin leaving. Expect the roads to get very busy around the University.
Torch Getting Nearer to Olympic Stadium  Friday, 2/8/2002 @ 7:08 pm
The flame burns brighter and brighter as it nears Olympic Stadium. The torch will end its nearly 14,000 mile journey with tonight's lighting of the Olympic Cauldron. The torch is currently winding through the streets of Salt Lake City.

The Torch is now making its way up State Street through Murray. It is running about fifteen minutes behind right now, but officials say it will make it on time to the Olympic Stadium, for the Opening Ceremonies.

Running only twenty minutes behind, the torch is in Murray and is nearing City Hall!
Torch in Sandy!  Friday, 2/8/2002 @ 3:06 pm
The Olympic Torch has just reached the amphitheater in Sandy. There is an estimated crowd of 3,000 inside, and officials estimate that there are about 3,000 people waiting outside also.
The Torch Travels To Draper  Friday, 2/8/2002 @ 1:05 pm
The Olympic Torch is 10-minutes behind traveling from Taylorsville to Draper.
