South of Salt Lake you’ll find the Peaks Ice Arena and dozens of award winning ice sculptures. See the ice carvings, skate at an outdoor ice rink, see Olympic highlights on giant video boards and enjoy food from international food vendors. Don’t miss the fun at the corner of University Avenue and Center Street in Provo.

Larger Than Life Sculptures on Display  Monday, 2/18/2002 @ 10:56 am
See the monumental sculptures of Allan Houser at Washington Square in downtown Salt Lake. Houser, an American Indian, was one of this country’s most influential and respected artists. His sculptures reach nearly twice the height of an average person. The exhibit is free.

Call the Olympics Central Claims Center if you lost or left something while attending an event. Call 535-6494. The lost and found for public transit riders is 278-4664.
See Declaration of Independence  Monday, 2/18/2002 @ 10:02 am
As a part of the Olympic Arts Festival, make sure you see the Declaration of Independence at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda, 350 North Main Street. The exhibit is free and open daily.

The village is much like a Mexican outdoor market, featuring American Indian, Asian American and Pacific Islanders food and crafts as well as several stages where entertainers perform.   More >>>
Ice Hockey Tickets and Other Tickets Available   Monday, 2/18/2002 @ 9:20 am
Tickets are still available for tonight’s Men’s Hockey match as Germany and Team Sweden take to the ice tonight at 7 at the Peaks Ice Arena in Provo. Tickets are also available for Wednesday’s Men’s Biathlon 4 by 7.5 kilometer Relay at Soldier Hollow.   More >>>

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts on the University of Utah Campus is showcasing art and artifacts of ancient Greece. The “Athletes in Antiquity” exhibit, from the J. Paul Getty Museum, is part of the Olympic Arts Festival. It’s free.

One of the largest displays ever of Olympic Winter Games memorabilia is on exhibit at the Salt Lake City and County Building at 400 South State. “The Olympex Exhibit” is open today. See winter Sports stamps, Olympic Winter Games coins and private collections of torches, medals, posters and pins. It’s free.

If you’ll be attending the Women’s Aerials final in Deer Valley or the Biathlon at Soldier Hollow later this morning…both events are sold out - so I-80 and U-S 40 will remain busy throughout the morning.   More >>>
Downtown SLC -- Clydesdales, Games, Music   Monday, 2/18/2002 @ 8:11 am
Great activities are happening daily at the World Party in downtown Salt Lake City at the Gallivan Center. See the Clydesdale Parade from 3 to 4 pm, or be a part of the Bubble Boy Tournament from 4 to 6. The All-star Aerial Show takes place from 4 to 4:30 pm. and there’s music from 10 until midnight. The World Party is located on Main Street between 200 and 300 South.
Traffic Outlook For Women's Aerials at Noon  Monday, 2/18/2002 @ 8:02 am
If you’re headed to Deer Valley for the Women’s Aerials competition at noon, you can expect delays on Highway 40 and at the Silver Summit interchange. Look for the Deer Valley Park and Ride lot directional signs along I-80 and U-S 40.   More >>>
